The Rashtriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has decided not to give a vote of confidence to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal. The meeting of the Central Working Committee of RPP on Monday took a formal decision not to participate in the new ruling coalition and not to give a vote of confidence to Prime Minister Dahal.
The RPP will not immediately participate in the provincial governments and if there is a situation that needs to be supported, it has given the responsibility of President Rajendra Lingden to make a decision in consultation with the respective provinces. RPPA President Lingden said, "RPPA will not participate in the current power coalition, which we have already expressed at the beginning of the formation of this coalition". The party has now officially decided - the RPP will not participate in the current power coalition, it has decided to vote for the opposition during the vote of confidence and to stay in the opposition.'
President Lingden informed that the performance committee has given him the responsibility to make a decision about participating in the provincial government . "It has been decided not to immediately participate in the provincial government, but if there is a situation to support, the party president will take a decision after consultation with the relevant province at an appropriate time," Lingden said.
