The UML, which is being accused of devaluing the Pushpa Kamal Dahal-led government and sending a 'B team', has set four bases on Friday to sustain the newly developed power coalition for four years. In which the UML has concluded that it will fully support the Dahal government, do homework to bring the outside parties into the alliance, UML ministers will give good results, and strengthen the provincial government.
In the central secretariat meeting, Chairman KP Sharma Oli instructed the officials to prepare a basis for the new alliance to last till 2084 to give political stability. In the central secretariat meeting held for the first time after joining the Dahal government, Oli mentioned that the efforts to break the alliance with the Congress have been successful for some time and mentioned that he participated in the government to sustain the new alliance for the next four years. Homework for the provincial government too
UML has decided to do homework on the formation of the provincial government. The coalition has tried to give majority to the same government in Madhesh led by Wagmati, Karnali and Janata Samajwadi Party with Maoist chief minister. Even though there is no referendum in Madhesh province, there is a situation where the majority will be in favor of the current coalition. The 150-seat coalition has a majority including UML (23), Jaspa (18), Maoist (9), United Samajwadi (7). Efforts are being made to bring the 13-seat public opinion into the government. Congress (22), LOSPA (9), Unmukti, RPP and Swatantra have one seat each. Public opinion made the Chief Minister post the bottom line to go to the federal government. As the power coalition has reached the majority, the party is in a 'wait and see' situation about going to the Madhesh government.
General Secretary Pokharel informed that it has been decided to hold the Congress Representative Council meeting on April 8th and 9th. The meeting will discuss the new power equation, upcoming programs. Similarly, UML has also decided to organize a special function to celebrate CPN Foundation Day on May 10. Before that, in the annual calendar of UML, the establishment day of CPN was decided to be celebrated between special ceremonies. General Secretary Pokharel said that a detailed discussion was also held regarding its completion.
Oli's instructions to do a good job
President Oli has instructed the 8 ministers of UML participating in the government to work in their respective ministries to produce results. Calling his private residence, Balkot, he instructed the minister to act selfishly out of greed.
