Chairman of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba has made it clear that a decision should not be taken now on whether to form an alliance in the election. Addressing the opening ceremony of the General Committee meeting, Chairman Deuba said that whenever there is a need for an alliance, a proper decision should be taken after discussion.

Congress General Minister Gagan Thapa's report states that the decision not to form an alliance should be taken from the general committee meeting, while President Deuba said that it should not be decided now whether to form an alliance or not.

In the general committee meeting that started in Lalitpur's Godavari on Monday, Deuba said, 'Since the issue of whether to form a political alliance in the future depends on the current situation, the party will be able to take a proper decision at that time after discussing the justification and relevance of the alliance according to the current situation.'

Deuba said that the current ruling coalition 2079 election was not made only for the first election. He said that after the then Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli dissolved the House of Representatives in 2077, he formed an alliance with other parties. 'Now we are practicing the alliance. The current alliance is not made only for the government. Some time ago, there were activities to untimely dissolve the House of Representatives and bring political instability to the country, weakening the federal democratic republic in the constitution,' he said, 'The alliance was formed on the initiative and efforts of the Congress to protect the constitution. The pre-election alliance is a continuation of that.'
