A 55-year-old man died when a house collapsed near Ichangunarayan Temple, Nagarjun Municipality-3, Kathmandu. Two others were injured.
Nagarjan Municipality Mayor Mohan Bahadur Basnet informed that 7 out of 8 people inside the house were rescued when the house collapsed. Five of the rescued people are safe and two have been taken to Manmohan Hospital for treatment.
Mayor Basnet informed that floods and landslides after the rains in wards No. 3, 6, 7 and 10 of the municipality have disrupted life. "We, the people's representatives, along with the police and armed police, have been deployed for rescue. The road is blocked everywhere, we are trying to make it easier,' he said.
