For the House of Representatives member election to be held on Thursday, only women have been deployed at 7 polling stations in Palpa, from security personnel to employees.

Balmandir Basic School 'A' center in Ward No. 3 of Tansen Municipality in Palpa-2, Tribhuvan Multiple Campus 'Bha' center in Ward 4, temporary polling station Jail Office, temporary polling station Tundikhel have been made women-friendly, Chief Election Officer Hari Prasad Sharma Upadhyay Pangeni has informed.

The polling officer, assistant polling officer, assistant staff and support staff at the women-friendly center are also women. Rama Shrestha, an officer of the District Administration Office, is deployed at Balmandir 'A', while Kopila Neupane, head of the Tansen Municipality Education Branch, is deployed as a polling officer at Tribhuvan Multiple Campus 'Bha'. Ambika Pathak, Deputy Chief Justice of Palpa District Court, and Laxmi Bhandari, a teacher from Tribhuvan Secondary School, Argali, are the polling officers at the temporary polling center in Tundikhel.

He said that only women have been deployed at the four polling centers in Palpa-2 with the belief that only women can do the job. These centers have been taken as model polling centers.

Manju Koirala, a teacher of Rambha Secondary School, is the polling officer at Adharabhut Secondary School Dumrigaun ‘Kha’ in Rampur Municipality-7 under Palpa-1.  Kavita Panta, a teacher of Bhanubhakta Secondary School, Rampur Municipality-10, is the polling officer at Jankalyan Secondary School, Hungi ‘Kha’ center in Rambha Rural Municipality-1, Hungi, and Mamata Gyawali, a teacher of Siddhi Secondary School, Aryabhanjyang, is the polling officer at Sharda Secondary School, Madanpokhara, Tansen Municipality-8, informed Election Officer Dashrath Pangeni. 

He said that the women-only centers have been taken as model polling centers. The election police and security personnel are also women in the women-only centers.  6 women employees have been deployed in such centers. 

There are 251 polling centers in 118 polling centers in the district. There are 27,436 voters in Palpa. There are two temporary polling stations in Tundikhel and Jail. There are 69 voters in Jail and 1,854 voters in Tundikhel under the two temporary polling stations.
