Police have arrested three people for assaulting and abusing a candidate seeking votes in West Nawalparasi.
On 25th Magh, four people including Raju Harijan, a candidate of Constituency No. 1 of the Nepal Communist Party (Maoist), who was campaigning for the election in Jamuniya Bazaar of Bardaghat Municipality-12, Constituency No. 1, were assaulted and mistreated by a team of four people.
Police have arrested 22-year-old Deepin Thapa, 19-year-old Ayush Rana Magar and Ram Mijar, residents of Dhanewa, Bardaghat Municipality-13, who were absconding after the incident. According to DSP Birdutt Pant of the District Police Office, West Nawalparasi, one person was arrested on 25th Magh. Three people were arrested on 26th Magh.
