The three governments will join forces for immediate temporary housing and permanent reconstruction for the flood victims of Ilam

The government has announced that it will immediately start preparing for the construction of temporary housing for the families displaced by the recent floods and landslides in Ilam.

 

Home Secretary Rameshwar Dangal has informed that temporary housing will be built immediately for the affected families and then permanent housing will be built with the cooperation of the three levels of government .

The Secretary of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Keshav Kumar Sharma, said that the section blocked by flood on the Mechi Highway will be operational by tomorrow and informed that a technical team under the leadership of Madhusudhan Acharya has been deployed to remove the obstruction.

Physical Planning and Reconstruction Minister Kulman Ghising said that due to the damage in the Rajduwali area of ​​Ilam-10, the plan to find an alternative route and build a new concrete bridge over Mai Khola has been advanced. He said, 'We will proceed with special priority in the reconstruction of this area . We will work together with the union, state and local government to rebuild roads, water supply and electricity.'

The government has announced that it is making a long-term plan for rehabilitation along with the distribution of relief in the flood-affected areas.
