Physical Planning and Reconstruction Minister Kulman Ghising, understanding the condition of the flood victims of Ilam, has instructed the relevant agencies to operate the road till tomorrow.

The  Rajduwali section under the Mechi highway is still blocked. If the mill rounds is operation done .

On Saturday, after reaching Ilam Municipality-10 Rajduwali, Minister Ghising observed the flood-affected areas and instructed to open the roads and supply electricity immediately.

He also distributed relief to 34 families displaced by the flood. During the inspection, Minister Ghising promised to give priority to early rescue, rehabilitation and infrastructure reconstruction work for the affected people.

Floods and landslides caused by recent heavy rains in Ilam caused extensive damage to roads, power lines and dozens of houses. 39 people died in the disaster in Ilam. Hundreds of families have been displaced.
