The production of Solu Dudhkosi hydropower project with 86 MW capacity produced from the water of Solukhola has been stopped.

Electricity production has been halted since Saturday afternoon when the flood caused damage to the dam site of the hydropower project due to the incessant rains for the past 3 days. The president of the company, Him Pathak, said that the power project promoted by Sahas Urja Limited was shut down after a tree fell at the dam site in Bhadaure of Solu Dudhakund Municipality-11 Tinla and also due to landslides. "Big trees have fallen in the intake, work is going on to remove the debris," President Pathak said, "We are mobilizing excavators to remove the trees."

Solukhola water is produced by dropping the water of Solukhola through a tunnel from Bhadaure on the bank of Dudhkoshi River in Macubensi of Thulung Dudhkoshi Rural Municipality-3 Panchan. According to the project, the tunnel and the power house are safe from floods and landslides. The project's electricity is connected to the 132 KV Solu Corridor at Lammane.
