After the onset of monsoon rains on May 27, 384 people from 81 houses have been displaced in the Himalayan district of Taplejung. Five people died during this period. According to the District Police Office, 84 livestock have died and four vehicles have been damaged.

Jasmaya Limbu and her two daughters Ganga and Jamuna of Paktanglung Rural Municipality-2 Khezenim, three women, Ram Wahadur Samra and two men Savin Rai of Panchthar Fidim Municipality-14 died in the landslide.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Ravi Rawal informed that he died in Yamphudin of Taplejung while working in Rai's power generation company. Yugen Samra and his daughter from Khezenim, who were injured in the landslide, have returned home after treatment. 

People from Sirijanga, Sidingwa, Mikwakhola and Phattanglung Rural Municipality have been displaced by the landslide. Rawal says that the landslide has completely damaged 8 houses. It is mentioned in the police data that 35 people including 17 women and 18 men living in these houses have been completely displaced. 18 houses are at full risk of landslides. According to the police, 94 people including 52 women and 42 men have been displaced from these houses. 55 houses are at risk of landslides. 

Among livestock, goats and goats have suffered the most damage. Ward president Bhupendra Choulagai said that one goat farm of Khezenim has been abandoned. The landslide has damaged nine sheds. Due to floods and landslides, two wooden bridges, one suspension bridge, one under construction suspension bridge and one cemented bridge for people to walk have been damaged in nine days. Six roads to the east, west and north of the headquarters, Fungling, have been blocked.
