Congress candidate Khamba Bahadur Singh has won in Kushe Rural Municipality-7 of Jajarkot. According to the office of the Chief Election Officer, he won by defeating Gorakh Bahadur Gharti of the Maoist Center.

Singh has won by a margin of 15 votes. Congress candidate Singh won by getting 347 votes, while his closest rival is CPN Maoist Center  Gharti has received 332 votes. 956 votes were cast in the ward with 1,302 voters.  

UML's Gorakh Bahadur Nepali has received 252 votes. District Election Officer Navin Kumar Kathayat informed that Lal Bahadur Khatri of Rashtriya Prajatantra Party got 7 votes. 15 votes have been invalidated. 

Earlier this ward was won by the Maoist Center. After the death of Ward President Mun Bahadur Gharti, a by-election was held for the vacant post of Ward President.
