The roads in the main and various rural areas have been closed due to landslides and mudslides due to daily rains. Due to the closure of the road, the life of the local residents has been affected and they are forced to suffer.

The concerned bodies did not show much interest in removing the landslides from the roads built with the budget of the union, state and local levels and in some places, the landslides fell again, causing distress to the residents and travelers.

Due to the landslides, mudslides and potholes on the roads, the residents of the district have not only had problems in the district headquarters and the outskirts of the district, but the passengers themselves have to push to remove the vehicles stuck in the mud. Due to the damaged roads due to rains, the risk of car accidents has also increased.

Although it takes only one hour to reach Tharmare Bazar in Bagchaur municipality from Ragechour in Kumakh rural municipality, it takes about two hours more because the road is completely muddy and the vehicle gets stuck and it is very difficult to take patients to the district hospital for treatment. He complains that despite the bad condition of the roads due to the rains, the relevant authorities are silent. 

Suresh Gaha Magar of Kalimati rural municipality-5 Damdwali said that it is difficult to reach the center of the municipality because the road is not only muddy but the rain has cut the river and stones and sand have piled up. He informed that if he has to go for any work in the municipality, he has to walk for about two and a half hours from Damdwali to Balua.

"Due to the rain, the rural roads are not only slippery, but the local people of Damdwali, Hattidamar have not been able to go out of their houses for two weeks since the vehicles stopped running," he said. The road from Khalanga to Kalimati-Damdwali-Ghuiyabari could not be opened and upgraded due to the budget. Lal Bahadur Gharti, Ward President of Bangad Kupinde Municipality-12 Nigalchula said that there is a situation to be done. He also informed that the car runs only when the sun shines.

"Last year, the concerned body spent more than 70 million to increase the road level," he said, "because of that, as soon as it rains, the road becomes not only muddy but also slippery." Some places are scratched . Because of that, there is a problem with the vehicle.

Local Bimal Khadka said that as soon as it rains, in Darma Rural Municipality-5 Jalehark, which falls under the Rapti highway, when the road becomes muddy, the vehicle gets stuck every day and all the passengers have to push together. In the past, the concerned body had blacklisted the road section. The black paper is not holding due to some elevation,' he said, 'when the road is muddy due to the landslide, the passengers traveling between Dang-Salyan-Rukum are facing various problems.' Prakash Bhandari, Vice President of Kapurkot Rural Municipality said that due to the deterioration of the rural roads within the municipality, it is difficult to reach not only the travelers but also the farmers who produce unseasonal vegetables to the Kapurkot market.
