Narpabhumi Geography Narpabhumi is an autonomous region of China, connected to Tibet, located in the high mountainous region, and it takes 2 days to walk from the district headquarters. These polling stations have not been connected to the road network yet, due to geographical remoteness, and the inconvenience of the footpaths.
The polling stations are located in the ward office building of Narpabhumi Rural Municipality-1, Nar Basic School of Ward No. 2, Samduchhiring Gumba of Ward No. 3, Fu Basic School of Ward No. 4, and the ward office building of Ward No. 5. Chief District Officer Nawaraj Paudyal informed that the District Security Committee has placed all these polling stations on the highly sensitive list. There are a total of 488 voters in Narpabhumi Rural Municipality.
Similarly, polling stations with more than 500 voters have been included in the sensitive list. Fifteen polling stations in Manang Ngisyang Rural Municipality in the upper region, Chame Rural Municipality, which is the headquarters, and Naso Rural Municipality in the lower region have been classified as sensitive. The remaining nine polling stations, including one temporary one, have been classified as normal. There is one polling station in one ward in Manang. The temporary polling station has been set up in Chame, the headquarters.
A few days ago, all three heads of security agencies, including Gandaki Province Chief Secretary Danduraj Ghimire, monitored the polling stations. The District Security Committee and the municipal chairmen also participated in the monitoring. Although they could not reach the polling station in Narpabhumi Rural Municipality, they monitored the polling stations in Manang Ngisyang Rural Municipality, Chame Rural Municipality, and Naso Rural Municipality. The District Security Committee has already monitored the polling stations.
Of the total 7,000 voters in Manang, there are 3,623 women and 3,377 men. There were 6,779 voters in the 2079 House of Representatives election. This time, there have been 221 more voters than before.
