Amaltari and Baghkhor areas of Kawasoti Municipality are inundated. According to Premshankar Mardania, former deputy mayor of Kawasoti municipality and a local resident, Baghkhor of Kawasoti Ward No. 15 and Amaltari of Ward No. 17 have been flooded since Saturday morning.
About 200 houses there have been flooded. Amaltari Homestay is known by the villagers. The houses have been flooded due to continuous rain since last 3 days.
Susta also inundated
Susta village has been inundated when the Bhel came to Narayani river and entered the village. According to Munsi Kumar, a local, houses and sheds in Tharutola were flooded when the river flooded at 10 am on Saturday.
The water level in the Narayani river has increased rapidly due to the rains that have been going on for the last 3 days. The water of the river entered the Tharu village east of the river. Munshi informed that until 10 am on Saturday, about 115 houses and farms were flooded. 'The water level in the river is rising,' he said, 'Police have been deployed to move the locals to the emergency rescue house built by Samamata.'
