The Bensisahar-Dumre road has been blocked due to a landslide near the gate leading to the Nepal Army barracks in Dalal area of Bensisahar Municipality 1, Udipur.
According to the police, the road was blocked by a landslide around 6 am on Sunday. The only road from Lamjung including Manang to the federal capital Kathmandu, state capital Pokhara as well as Chitwan has been blocked.
Vehicles going to Kathmandu-Pokhara-Chitwan have stopped in the middle of the road. Senior Sai Pradeep Adhikari, Head of District Traffic Police Office, said that a landslide with a landslide blocked the road in Dalal area. According to him, the Gegran brought by the flood has also made the road uncomfortable in the areas of Andherikhola and Bensi Sahar before Udipur.
District Police Office Police Inspector Meghnath Chapagain said that it has been raining since the night and it has caused landslides in Lamjung section of Bensisahar-Dumre road. He said that it is raining and the road will be opened as soon as the rain stops. The police said that machinery has been sent to open the road to the place where the landslide occurred.
