The government has allocated Rs 85.54 billion for the construction of energy generation, transmission and distribution lines. Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle informed that the budget has been allocated while presenting the budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
He also said that Rs 70 billion has been allocated for the completion of the under-construction transmission lines and substations.

The government has stated that it will accelerate the 120 MW Tanahun Hydropower Project, Upper Modi A, Upper Modi, Upper Trishuli 3 B, Budhiganga projects.
Wagle said that the financial management of the 1061 MW Upper Arun, Uttarganga, Chainpur Seti, Tamakoshi 5, and Ghunsa Khola projects will be started and the contract process will be started.
He said that the contracting process will begin for the construction of the 439 MW Betan Karnali with the investment of the Employees Provident Fund depositors.
