New plans under the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport are not included in the budget for the next financial year. There is a continuation of the old project. The budget has been increased for large, strategic and national pride projects.
Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel said that construction of modern infrastructure such as expressways, underpasses and overpasses will be continued in the coming financial year.

A detailed project report of the Kathmandu-Kerung railway will be prepared in the coming financial year. The construction of railroads connecting Newalpaigudi-Kankadvitta, Nautanwa-Bhairawa and Nepalgunj Road-Nepalgunj of border south border will also be started from the next financial year.
The overall budget of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport for the next fiscal year has been increased only slightly. In the current financial year, 1 trillion 50 billion 53 billion rupees have been allocated, 1 trillion 52 billion rupees have been allocated for the next year.
Former Secretary Arjunjung Thapa said that even though the Ministry of Planning has done well by not keeping small pieces, the overall budget allocation is not enough.
