Swarnim Wagle, the deputy chairman of RSVP, has responded that the budget for the coming financial year brought by the government is not extravagant and irresponsible.

Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel, while responding to the budget for the fiscal year 2082/83 submitted to the Parliament on Thursday, Deputy Chairman Wagle, who is also an economist, stated that the size of Nepal's economy is estimated at 61 trillion and expressed the belief that the economy will expand to 67 trillion by adding 5 percent economic growth and 5.5 percent inflation.  He also said that the budget tradition brought by the

government has been continued. Deputy Chairman Wagle also said that he is worried about blowing the budget in a big way during the budget speech in the next financial year and falling prey to the old disease of drying up on demand.

This is Wagle's comment about the budget.

It is our opinion that the 19 trillion 64 billion budget that the government has submitted today is not very rash and irresponsible. Recently, the National Planning Commission has projected the economy size of our economy to be 61 trillion. If we add economic growth of 5% and inflation of 5.5% and increase it to 11.5%, by the end of this budget, the economy of Nepal government will be 67 trillion. Therefore, we do not consider the budget submitted by the finance minister to be very irresponsible. However, we are worried that after the earthquake, we will fall victim to the old disease of blowing the budget on a large scale and drying up the demand.
