Narulal Chaudhary, head of Ghorahi sub-metropolitan city, has said that now there is no compulsion to transport sick people to Ghorahi. He said that in this sub-metropolitan city which has 19 wards, the road network has been extended in all areas and the ambulance service has provided ease.

The ambulance has arrived," Chowdhury said while speaking under the title "Second Session: Development of the Sub-Metropolis" of the interactive program on "Power of Lumbini" organized by Kantipur Media Group in Bhairahawa on Wednesday, "Now the compulsion to carry patients on the head is over." He said that there has been a lot of development in other areas like

roads. According to Chaudhary, Ghorahi was a dry region in the past. Farming was done only during the rainy season.

'We went forward to create development, prosperity and employment by collecting water in a multi-purpose way. Now 43 artificial reservoirs have been constructed. There is lift irrigation and surface irrigation as well,' Chaudhary said, 'There are fish up to 11 kg in the big reservoir.'

Similarly, tourists come around the reservoir and hotels are also operating in those areas, he said. 'Young people who go abroad are engaged in vegetable farming in their own country. The number of people going abroad has also decreased," he said. "Not only this, the reservoir has recharged the land. Deep borings and wells are also not dry. Assistance has been provided for drinking water. It has also brought balance to climate change.'

He said that there is a concept of Ghorahi, where large rivers can be dammed and stones, gravel, sand, and water can be utilized. 'After stopping from the front, Gagaryan comes and stops. Can be used for 12 months. Sand and gravel flowing towards India can also be used. Our concept is that fish production and employment can be created by making use of water by building a dam,' he said.

He informed that the work of producing fertilizer and gas is going on while turning the waste into stamps in the cleaning area. Apart from these, cattle walking on the streets, orphans, and beggars were also managed, he said.
