Bhairahawa Airport could not be fully operational due to lack of will to work in policy makers: Former Chief Minister Chaudhary

Former Chief Minister of Lumbini Province Dilli Bahadur Chaudhary has said that due to the lack of will to work among the country's policy makers, the construction of Gautam Buddha International Airport has not been completed.

Former Chief Minister of Lumbini Province Chowdhury said in the third session of the interaction on 'Lumbini's strength' organized by Kantipur Media Group at Bhairahawa on Wednesday, 'Lumbini's Call: International Flight', that this situation has come about because of the tendency to talk sweetly but not act.

'It's not that there's anything else going on here, it's just that there's no will to work. After building the airport, the first responsibility to operate it is the Nepal Civil Aviation Authority. Pradeep Adhikari, director general of the authority, is also the same. What did he do for the operation of the airport?,' Chowdhury countered, 'The finance minister is from this area. You have said that the Prime Minister is also positive. Then who has stopped the operation from tomorrow?'

He says that the airport cannot be operated until the trend of talking nice and sweet but not working is removed.
