The government has introduced a program to provide collateral loans without sending remittance to the bank account for those who have gone for foreign employment. The government has made this arrangement in the budget of the next financial year.  The government claims that the government has introduced this program to bring in remittances from the formal sector.

Remittance inflow has increased by 19.8 percent till the end of March of the current financial year. According to the 9-month data released by Nepal Rastra Bank on May 30, the remittance inflow is 10 trillion 82 billion 62 crore rupees.
