Mahaprasad Adhikari, Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, has said that there is no problem in getting loans for good and genuine projects (debtors) from all sides. He claims that banks and financial institutions are not disbursing loans only when they come to take loans for nominal projects, principal and interest.
The governor's official said this during the third session of the Kantipur Economic Summit-2024 organized by Kantipur Media Group on Sunday.
"There is no shortage of loans for legitimate projects and real loans or projects," he said, "but sorry, no more loans are available to pay the principal and interest." He said that because they are also in the process of reforming the financial system, some people must have had a problem.
