Pampha Bhusal, the vice president of the CPN Maoist Center, has said that while increasing the production and productivity of agriculture, it is necessary to increase the income, employment and contribution to the economy by investing in competitive areas and comparative advantage.
In the fourth session of the 'Economic Summit-2024' organized by Kantipur Media Group, Vice President Bhusal said that policy reforms and necessary incentives should be given to protect and promote the private sector for economic transformation. She said that the strengthening of financial bases and the enhancement of capital expenditure capacity and investment should be ensured.
Mentioning that there has been an epoch-making change in the political sector of the country, Vice President Bhusal said that the main need of today is to do more work with an action plan to achieve expected achievements in the field of economic and social development and development of modern infrastructure by maintaining good governance. She said, 'In order to fulfill the objective of developing an independent, advanced and socialist-oriented economy by achieving good governance, development and prosperity through the federal democratic republican governance system envisioned by the Constitution of Nepal, coordination between the government, private, cooperative sector and other sectors including academia and civil society is necessary. Vice President Bhusal also said that youth power should be mobilized within the country by creating decent jobs. She said, 'Entrepreneurship development and domestic production base should be strengthened. Self-sufficiency in consumer goods and service delivery should be made agile and well-governed. She also said that there is a need to solve the problems seen in the
cooperative sector and spend the collected capital on production and poverty alleviation. Vice President Bhusal said that because political stability is essential for economic development, there is a need to change the existing government structure and election system. She stressed on the need to develop and implement an effective social security system to distribute the benefits of development in a fair manner while ending all kinds of discrimination.
Vice President Bhusal said that policy reforms and necessary incentives should be given to protect and promote the private sector for economic transformation. "Sustainable and social justice should be ensured by including all the formal and organized sector as well as those in foreign employment and informal and self-employed workers in contribution-based social security programs," she said.
