All the components that make the economy run must be activated to run the airport.

Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport is in the process of being upgraded, there is concern that Bhairahawa Airport will not operate or flights will be reduced as soon as it is completed. This concern is wrong. There is no point in talking beyond the objective and reality. There is no need to doubt this.

The construction work of Kathmandu Airport has not been completed yet, it is as it is. Previously, this airport was open for 21 hours, now we have opened it till 12 midnight, 2 hours have been added. When it comes to flight continuity, no airport traffic should be in 'isolation' or unconnected. 

The 'traffic isolation' of Kathmandu, Bhairahawa and Pokhara or not only them is the traffic of Nepal as a whole . When forecasting how much traffic will come, it is seen in the same way as the growth of traffic depends on the growth of the country's gross domestic product. Traffic regulation is necessary in Nepal, various regulations are being used abroad. After building a new airport in Istanbul, Turkey has imposed restrictions on the capital Ankara's airport.

Apart from diplomatic and 'high-end flights', 'transit', 'low-cost cadet', 'cargo flights' and other 'commercial flights' are flying from the new airport. Today, it has handled more than 11 million passengers annually. After opening a new airport in China, the stalls of the old airport have been put up for auction. Whoever pays more money is given a 'stall'.

Those who want cheap go to the new airport . We also need such regulations. As I have repeatedly said, 'traffic' is a matter of the country, not Pokhara, Bhairahawa or Kathmandu, so it should be regulated. If regulated, all our three international airports will operate .

Our brothers and sisters from all over the country go to work abroad. Although there is an international airport in Pokhara, Bhairahawa, they are forced not to go to Kathmandu. Expensive expenses are being spent for transportation, hotels, food in Kathmandu, visa centers, training centers are also located in various places in Kathmandu . People are suffering in all this .

The airport here will not be operational until the Nepali people from Narayani who have a 'working visa' take the 'restriction' to fly from Bhairahawa. Either there should be a lot of business here! Business cannot be increased. Like - there are 53 million Buddhists in the world . 50 percent of it is in China. There are only 147 thousand who come to Nepal and most of them come from India. In Cambodia, 4 million tourists are now going to see the broken nose of the Buddha, even though the Buddha was neither born nor attained enlightenment there. Initiatives should be taken to bring this population into Nepal. 

Therefore, an airport is not something that is run by one person, all parts of GDP are connected to it . How much the component that can run the economy is activated, it also makes sense in the operation of the airport . It should be viewed as a whole . Earlier, the traffic did not come to Bhairahawa after cutting the flight to Kathmandu. Business had to be increased in Bhairahawa, visa center had to be built. How can the airport run until such options are given! The way to run it is the promotion of Lumbini along with 'regulation' or 'restriction'. 

In the coming days, we will emphasize on the 'promotion' of Lumbini. Let's think of ways to increase business . As the leadership of the authority, for me, Bhairahawa, Pokhara, Kathmandu are one and the same. I am the happiest when one place works and the saddest when another does not. Earlier, Kathmandu airport used to operate till 2 am, now we have stopped the flight after 12 pm . The purpose of this is so that the 'spill over effect' of Kadmadon goes to Bhairahaw . Bhairahawa is a more prosperous airport than Kathmandu. Bhairahawa has not been allowed to lack facilities and infrastructure in all respects. 

Let's all promote it as much as possible . I can't do propaganda by taking charge of the Lumbini Development Fund, I can't even open an industry . If the airport is 'defunct' and the plane is stopped and diverted, blame me, but it is wrong to blame me and not go to the airport. As a regulator, we have taken policy initiatives. There is no 'Landing', 'Parking', 'Navigation', 'Passenger Service Charge' charged while flying in Bhairahawa. In order to promote this airport, we have said that we will not charge such fees until 2083. It is expected that the price of tickets will be cheaper when giving discounts, these efforts have not been forgotten. 

There is no more capacity to be added at the Kathmandu airport, it has reached "saturation". We have strategically built airports in Pokhara and Bhairahawa so that there is no airlock in the future. Now let's increase its business, if we emphasize on 'promotion' and 'regulation', it will run smoothly . 

In recent years, we have done a lot of upgrading and increasing the number of airports across the country. We have forgotten that the ship should be added while the airport is being built or upgraded. Nepal is the only country where the airport has increased but the number of ships has decreased.

We currently have a total of 8 international ships . If there were at least 20 or 15 planes, our airport would have run itself, there would be no need to depend on foreign countries . Aviation sector means airports, aircraft and air routes . We have an airport and an air route but not enough planes. We need more Nepali flag carriers to make international airports operate smoothly.
