Landslide with rocks at 54 km of Araniko Highway

District Traffic Police Office Kavre has informed that a landslide with stones is falling at 54 km under the Araniko highway in the district. Sunil Dhanju, chief police inspector of the office, informed that 54 kg of landslides including stones were falling under the Panchkhal-Dolalghat road section of the highway due to the continuous rain since Friday night.

According to him, at around 3 o'clock in the afternoon on Saturday, a landslide with 54 kg of stones fell. He said that a landslide with stones was also falling in the stream of the Dhulikhel-Khawa road section of the said highway. He said that in view of the risk of landslides along with the rains, the operation of vehicles has been stopped there. According to him, the vehicles are being held in Dhulikhel.

Similarly, he informed that landslides occurred at various places under the BP highway. According to him, the flow of water in Roshi river is 3 times more and it seems that there is a high possibility that the river will come up to the BP highway due to erosion.
