Due to floods, 21 people have died in 13 districts of Wagmati province. According to Wagmati Province Police Office, Hetaunda, 21 people have died due to floods and landslides in the last 24 hours, apart from three districts of the valley.
According to Provincial Police Office Hetaunda, till 4 pm on Saturday, 10 people died in Kavre, 6 in Sindhupalchok, 3 in Dolakha and 1/1 in Dhading and Sindhuli.
The Deputy Superintendent of Police Jitendra Basnet of Provincial Police Office Hetaunda said that there were human casualties in Kavre, Sindhuli, Dolakha, Sindhupalchok and Dhading due to floods caused by rain since Thursday.
11 people have gone missing in Kavre due to landslides . Similarly, 3 in Dhading, 4 in Sindhupalchowk and 7 people have gone missing in Makwanpur.
59 physical structures have been completely damaged in the province due to flood and landslides, while 10 have been partially damaged, the police said. 28 physical structures were completely damaged in Makwanpur and 11 in Kavre due to floods.
192 families who are at risk of floods and landslides in the province have been rescued and relocated. 39 houses and offices in Kavre, Dolakha and Makwanpur are at high risk.
According to Provincial Police Office Hetouda, 4 thousand 1 Hundred 11 Police have been mobilized. Floods have blocked 37 highways and roads in 10 districts.
