On June 10, 2051, the vice chairman of the National Planning Commission, Ramsharan Mahat, presented the information that agriculture contributed 42 percent to the country's total domestic production. He said that by organizing a press conference, the contribution of the non-agricultural sector has reached 58 percent. At that time, the annual growth rate of the agricultural sector was 3 percent and the growth rate of the non-agricultural sector was 6.9 percent. The growth rate of the agricultural sector was estimated at 4.1 percent and the non-agricultural sector at 6.2 percent.

Mahat informed that the annual per capita income has increased by 16 percent over the estimate . He said in a press conference that the annual income per person was 202 US dollars, that is, according to the value of the dollar at that time, Nepalese rupees were 1000 rupees per person.

After the political change of 2046, the total domestic production of the country reached 196 billion 97 million in the year 2050/051 in the two years when the government was formed under the leadership of Congress in 2048. At that time, the production and export of Nepali garments increased by 52 percent and carpets by 12 percent. At that time, the production of ready-made fabrics and garments was booming . It provided thousands of jobs. 

The production and export of Nepalese goods such as carpets and garments was bringing foreign currency into the country. Conclusions were prepared covering 25 areas of economic activity. There was a decrease in the number of tourists. However, the profit was seen to increase .

Data was submitted that 80 percent of the population is involved in agriculture. But the Planning Commission informed that the population which is said to be based on agriculture is gradually attracted to non-agricultural sector. It was important to be aware of the danger that the gap between the rich and the poor will widen further when they are attracted to the non-agricultural sector by staying away from agriculture. He put forward the idea that household production should be increased to reduce poverty. 

According to Mahat, he said that a positive situation has been observed from the past 10 years of study. He said, "Even though the situation of Panchayat was not very bad in the last period, due to unstable policies and controlled economy, the growth was not as expected. Now the growth rate of household production has become sustainable.'
