There were rumors that there was no thorough investigation into the death of the then general secretary of UML Madan Kumar Bhandari and the head of organization department Jivraj Ashrit in the Dasdhunga accident. Even though three investigative committees, governmental and non-governmental, were formed, doubts were not removed.
The UML party and its well-wishers have been rejecting the findings of the commission of inquiry formed by the government on May 4, 2050 under the chairmanship of former additional judge of the Supreme Court Prachandaraj Anil . The Anil Commission report was deemed by UML to be 'misleading and untrue'.
A one-member commission formed under the chairmanship of UML's then standing committee member and MP KP Sharma Oli denied that the death of leader Bhandari and his dependents was due to an accident. Even though the Oli Commission called the accident a conspiracy and well-planned, the definite conclusion has not been made public yet.
On behalf of the citizens, the conclusion of the investigation committee formed on 6th June 2050 in conjunction with the left-wing leader Padmaratna Tuladhar was that 'Madan and his dependents were killed by a skilled criminal group'. The said committee was formed from the people's level during the activities of the evaluation monthly and had 23 members. The report was made public on December 15, 8 months after the formation of the committee.
The report stated that the leaders were killed or rendered unconscious by using pesticides before the accident. The summary of Oli and Tuladhar's report was the same. The report was based on the report of London's Alder Master Forensic Lab and mentioned the use of inhalant.
2050 August Dr. A three-member team including Bharat Pradhan handed over the necessary material to IJ Imfraz, an expert at the Forensic Science Service Laboratory in London, for testing the viscera of the leaders. The items handed over included blood, stomach and other organs removed during post-mortem . Imfraz, who has been working as a forensic scientist for 20 years, was considered an expert in testing alcohol, drugs and poisons. UML asked him to find out whether he could have been killed by drugs or other poisons. A special request was made to find out whether drugs, alcohol or cyanide were found in the bodies of the leaders.
In the report prepared by Imfraz, it was mentioned that no pesticide was found in the stomach of the leaders. The forensic report of the leaders came at a time when the UML was demanding the formation of an inquiry committee under the chairmanship of a sitting judge of the Supreme Court so that it would be accepted by all. But it was mentioned that some amount of lignosine was found in the said blood . Lignosine is a chemical used to glue a certain part of the body . His report has also revealed the question whether Netadwaya has cyanide in his stomach. The report stated that no cyanide was found.
At a time when UML was demanding an investigation into the Dasdhunga accident, this report cleared the suspicion that the leader was killed by poison or alcohol. This reference was published by Kantipur Dainik on 11th June 2051 under the title 'Confirmation of no pesticide use in Madan-Ashrit'. Political leaders including UML and some common people have been claiming that the reality of the death of Netadwaya in a jeep accident in Dasdhunga, Chitwan on 3rd June 2050 is still mysterious.
