It had been a year since the death of Madan Bhandari, the then general secretary of UML, and Jivraj Ashrit, head of the organization department, in the Dasdhunga accident. In this context, 'Sachet' magazine published from Kathmandu published a long interview of jeep driver Amar Lama. During the conversation, Lama announced that he would die by hanging in front of millions of citizens if evidence was found to convict him.

UML leaders-activists did not stop expressing anger saying that the government showed indifference to investigate the accident of Netadwaya . The only witness who could give information about the accident of Madan-Ashrit was none other than the driver Amar Lama . Driver Lama was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment by the Chitwan District Court. He was living a captive life in Chitwan Jail .

The government said that it would be difficult to re-interrogate and investigate the accident after the court sentenced the driver Lama, who was called 'guilty'. 

driver Lama said that he will not give a statement to anyone anymore during the same interview he gave to 'Sachet'. Stating that he was the person who made the most statement after the accident, he claimed that 'I am also human, I also exist, I have to accept it'. He also argued that there is no point in the statement. 

Lama asked what the conclusion of the all-party commission demanded by UML would be. He claimed that the All-Party Commission gave a good conclusion and said that such a conclusion would be null and void. He expressed his displeasure with the court's detention and said that it was an accident according to the Motor Vehicle Act.

UML activist Lama also said that he was sorry for being removed from the party membership. He also claimed that Madan Bhandari did not teach him to bend while saying that he would not bend to wrongdoing. He said that Madan's religious wife Vidya Bhandari was being misled by some people of the party's sakuni tendencies. He said, "Even if I go to the international arena, I want to be innocent."

UML had more complaints that there was no deep investigation on Lama, a living witness of the Dasdhunga accident. During the interview, the chief district officer also said that the book prepared by Lama in connection with the Dasdhunga accident was taken away for censoring. 

President of Human Rights Organization Rishikesh Shah said in an event held in Kathmandu on May 3, 2051 that the sitting judge, congress and UM cannot do anything about the Lama case pending in the court. He said that those who show guilt should be proved. He said, "If Chalak Lama does not get justice, I will fight even if I reach the international arena."
