Hey! What a miracle of Anamnagar

The issue of dilapidated roads not being repaired for years and the road upgrading work not being completed on time is being reported daily even now. But the situation was similar around the year 2049.

On February 16, 2049, the news was printed in Kantipur under the title of 'Motarbato piroleye Anamnagar'. At that time, the news about the construction of a motorway around the Singha Darbar was spreading.

The foundation stone of the road from Anamnagar's Hanumansthan through the east gate of Singha Darbar to New Plaza was laid by the transport minister of the interim government formed after the 2046 movement.

The beginning of the disease that lays the foundation but does not work in time is terrible. The road was not paved for three years after the foundation stone was laid. Locals are fed up with dust in winter and mud in rain.

With the political change in the country, many people expected that the dust of Anamnagar would also be stopped, but the people's wishes did not materialize. The facts mentioned in this news show how the condition of one of the main centers of Kathmandu was at that time. It is written in the news, "In the area of New Plaza, batuas defecate, night buses park there and locals throw garbage."

Hey! What a miracle of Anamnagar

Due to the dust, the house owners, local businessmen and room renters who are connected to the road were forced to suffer from the smell of garbage and the problem of dust for years.  The situation worsened to such an extent that the parents started leaving Anamnagar by changing their children's schools due to the risk of health deterioration due to mud and dust.

This road, which was laid as a foundation stone during the interim period, has been criticized by the public after the 2048 election. Some people started criticizing that development is not like in Panchayat, it is not fast. The locals who thanked the interim government for opening the road soon got fed up.

This news that reflects the situation around the Singha Darbar also explains what the state of the center of the capital was in the year 2049.  The news also mentions the matter of garbage and muddy mud piled up at the gate of Singha Durbar . Now, when we read the story of Anamnagar 32 years ago,  It may seem like an impossibility.
