What is the big elam of living in the village? I have reared goats to earn 2/4 paise. I am the shepherd of those goats. In the morning, the day is spent taking the herd and tending the forest.

During my father's time, there were a few goats in a small barn . It must have been 4/5. It's been 10-12 years since I started raising . Now I have reached 40 . Some give birth to three, some to two and some to one. On the day the baby is born, there is rejoicing in the barn.

A boy born by a goat raised by love seems like his own child. Care of the teacher, caressing and stroking the mother and baby is fine, so attention cannot be paid to others . There is a fear of dying if not taken care of. I wanted to raise a goat, now I have to bear the pain! It was not even a matter of complaining to the animals that they had caused pain.

There is a house in Mahbhir of Ajirkot Rural Municipality-4, Simjung. 60 years now. Has two daughters and two sons . After passing class 12, the eldest son joined the Nepali Army. A daughter studies in Kathmandu. The remaining two children are at home .

I also studied till 7th standard . In our time, the one who could read letters was considered a great scholar . For some time, I was also a basket of knowledge in the village. In the year 2054, I was elected as the Ward President of the former Simjung Gavis-1 for 5 years . In the then election, I was elected as the ward president from RPP . As soon as the term of the ward president ended and I left politics and started farming.

After my father passed away when I was still young, the responsibility of household affairs fell on me . It also gave courage to take the lead. When I was a public representative, I got a monthly allowance of 1,200 rupees. There was no motorway like it is now. People's sorrows and joys could be understood by walking to their doorsteps. No complaint was made that the facility was needed.

When he is a farmer now, he gets more inquiries and praises than when he was a ward president. Apart from goat rearing, there are 6 beehives. I save one lakh rupees a year by selling goats and honey. Honey can be extracted three times a year. I will sell one mana for one thousand rupees . I earn 15/16 thousand by selling bees . At least 3/4 of Khasibo is sold in a year. The price of one Dharni Khasi meat is 2500 . You will get the price accordingly. Earned money will buy rice. The festival will also be paid for with the same money.

I have farmed to get goat manure layer . I plant rice in a two-hull field, corn, potato, millet, and mustard in a 6-hull field. Potatoes only grow 7 muri in a year . Potatoes have many benefits. After growing so much, you can eat as much as you want . When the customer comes, I ask him to take his own potatoes. A potato is sold for 250 rupees. Millet grows 6 muri in a year . Paddy grows 8 muri . The family of 6 people has been able to eat this farm, the joy is also in this.

Farming doesn't mean living in happiness . It's sad. First, I had to go to Ambukhaireni to buy rice to eat. How many times have I reached Anbukhaireni by walking to get rice to eat sweet, smooth and delicious.

There is no major disease. Two years ago, he got a small injury on his head when he fell from a hill. Now the ears are weak . Until a few years ago, teaching four children at the same time was very sad. Teaching above class 11 costs so much money. Even if you sell the bag, it will not be enough . Money was always a problem. I stopped eating meat, I stopped celebrating festivals. There is sadness when there is no job. Remembering this sorrow, I did not quit farming. Now that the eldest son is employed in the Nepali Army, it is very easy to manage household expenses.
