The conflict between India and Pakistan has also affected the cricket leagues on both sides. The remaining matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) have been shifted to Dubai.

Similarly, the Indian Premier League has been pushed back by 1 week for the time being. The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) has announced that the match has been postponed for 1 week immediately. BCCI also said that the new schedule and venue of the match will be announced later.

On Thursday, the match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dharamsala was also postponed citing security reasons. The Dharamshala shooting site is less than 100 km from Pathankot.

While the match was going on in Dharamsala, the match was stopped in the middle of the over after a security alert was issued. According to media reports, as the tension between the two countries escalates, the foreign players playing in the IPL are nervous. Some players even appealed to return home.

So far 58 matches of the league stage of IPL-2025 have been completed. There are still 12 matches left in the league stage. After the league stage, the playoffs will begin where the top 4 teams will compete.
