The 18th season of the IPL has been postponed indefinitely due to the escalation of the India-Pakistan conflict. The Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) has decided to postpone the IPL in view of the recent situation. BCCI will formally inform about this shortly.

The match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dharamsala on Thursday was also postponed citing security reasons. The Dharamshala shooting site is less than 100 km from Pathankot.

While the match was going on in Dharamsala, the match was stopped in the middle of the over after a security alert was issued. According to media reports, as the tension between the two countries escalates, the foreign players playing in the IPL are nervous. Some players even appealed to return home.

So far 58 matches of the league stage of IPL-2025 have been completed. There are still 12 matches left in the league stage. After the league stage, the playoffs will begin where the top 4 teams will compete.
