Gujarat Titans, inspired by Jos Buttler's unbeaten 97, defeated Delhi Capitals by 7 wickets in Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket on Saturday. After this result, Gujarat has climbed to the top with their fifth victory in 7 matches.

Batting first in high humidity, Delhi scored 203 runs losing 8 wickets. Player of the match Buttler hit 11 fours and 4 sixes in his 54-ball innings as Gujarat completed the target with 4 balls to spare. In the first two balls of the last over, Rahul Tewatia hit sixes and fours respectively to help Gujarat win. 

For the first time in Ahmedabad, the target of 200 runs was chased, while Delhi failed to defend more than 200 runs for the first time. Captain Shubman Gill was dismissed in 7 runs. Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who became the youngest player to play in the IPL at the age of 14 years and 23 days, could not give victory to Rajasthan Royals on Saturday despite his excellent partnership with Yashasvi Jaiswal. Rajasthan lost by 3 runs against Lucknow Super Giants. While chasing the target of 181 runs, Rajasthan put Vaibhav into bat as an 'impact player' at the innings break. Despite sharing 85 runs in 9 overs with Vaibhav and Jaiswal for the first wicket, Rajasthan could score only 178 runs after losing 5 wickets and had to accept their fourth defeat in a row.
