Targeting a low score, Punjab won the match with 11 balls to spare. Nehal Wadhera played an aggressive innings to win the team. In the previous match, while defending 111 runs, Punjab restricted Kolkata Knight Riders to 95 runs. Punjab won the fifth game in seven matches and climbed to the second position with 10 points. RCB remain fourth with 8 points.
RCB made a poor score at home. The team scored 95 runs in 14 overs losing 9 wickets. Only Tim David's half century was worth watching. RCB, who lost 7 wickets in 42 runs, was picked up by David.
