Janakpur Bolts won the title by defeating Sudurpaschim Royals in the final of Nepal Premier League (NPL) held at Trivi International Cricket Ground in Kathmandu. After winning the NPL, now Janakpur Bolts are celebrating their victory in the districts of Madhesh Pradesh.
The rally where the players will participate with the trophy is crowded with hundreds of supporters. Janakpur Bolts celebrated the victory at the Siraha headquarters on Monday . At the same time, Siraha-based Kantipur Correspondent Vinay Azad's edited part of the conversation with Bolts player Lalit Rajwanshi:
After winning the title of NPL, you are now celebrating the victory, how are you feeling?
has us very excited. We are very happy. Our rallies are unstoppable. Supporters have loved a lot. It is felt that it is flowing positive energy in Nepali cricket and overall sports sector .
NPL took Nepali cricket to a great height, how do you see the future of Nepali cricket?
Of course, NPL has brought Nepali cricket to the peak of discussion. As much as we have achieved so far, we must protect it and move forward with strength. I believe, so it will be . If we move forward at this pace, we will be independent in the game . The day when we will make a strong presence on the world stage is also near.
What should the state do, what do you say?
State is parent . The state should be serious about raising the sports field. Now, after federalism, there are three levels of government. All those governments had to be serious. There are talents in our villages . However, due to the lack of ground, they are all anonymous . There had to be a ground to show talent.
Union government, state government and local governments had to build ground in places. The players had to be protected. Very talented, but we can see our players leaving due to various problems . This is serious and worrying. This is the weakness of the state . The state must be serious now.
