Karnali's third win in a row

Karnali Yaks won their third consecutive victory after William Bosisto bowled the best in Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket. Karnali defeated Pokhara Avengers by 7 wickets on Tuesday.

After Bosisto took 6 wickets, Pokhara won the toss and chose to bat. Karnali completed the target by scoring 106 runs in 15 overs. After losing the first two games, Karnali has maintained the possibility of reaching the playoffs by winning three consecutive games. This is Pokhara's third loss in 4 matches.

For Pekhra, Bipin Khatri got Dev Khanal out lbw for a wicket in the first over. Another left-arm spinner Sagar Dhakal bowled Babar Hayat for 7 runs. After Chadwick Walton and Gulson Jha shared 60 runs for the third wicket, Karnali was on its way to victory. Jamaican batsman Walton scored 42 runs from 34 balls with 6 fours and 1 six.

Gulson scored an unbeaten 49. He played 37 balls and hit 3 fours and 4 sixes. Gulson hit a six as the winning run. Karnali added 21 runs in Sagar Dhakal's fourth over and team's 15th over, in which Gulson added 20 runs with 2 sixes and 1 four. Sagar gave only 3 runs in the first 3 overs.

Dinesh Kharel and Andries Gaus scored 46 runs in 4 overs at the Trivi Cricket Ground in Kirtipur to give Pokhara a very good start. But after Vipin Sharma dismissed Gauss for 25 runs, Pokhara could not handle it . Gauss played 12 balls and hit 4 fours and 1 six. Another opener Dinesh scored 26 runs with 4 fours and 1 six off 19 balls.

Bosisto cut and bowled captain Kushal Bhurtel for 10 runs and took the third wicket of Pokhara and started taking his wicket. Then Matt Critchley for nil, Dilip Nath for 3, Michael Lisak for 2, Narayan Joshi for 1, Rayman Riffer for 20 runs. Reefer, who played 26 balls, could not hit any boundary. After Bosisto's brilliant spell, Pokhara lost their last seven wickets for 22 runs.

Australian all-rounder Bosisto spent 28 runs in 4 overs while taking 6 wickets. This is the best bowling in the ongoing NPL. Earlier Sohail Tanveer of Chitwan Rhinos, Naren Saud of Sudurpaschim Royals and Harsh Thakar of Janakpur Bolts took 5 wickets each in the same match.

Akash Chand scored 1 run and got out lbw off Sompal Kami and Bipin Khatri got run out for 10 runs. This was Karnali's first match in the NPL without Shikhar Dhawan. Babar, who played in place of Dhawan, could not make any impact again.
