James (Jimmy) Nisam is one of the big names coming to Kathmandu to play Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket. NPL franchise team Janakpur Bolts is going to bring him. Medium pace Allrounder Neesam has played 12 Tests, 76 One Day Internationals and 79 Twenty20 Internationals for New Zealand.

Neesam, who has been playing in almost all franchise leagues in the world, played his last Test 7 years ago. Nisam has not played one-day internationals since last year's World Cup in India. 

He has been playing Twenty20 internationals from New Zealand. He has scored runs at a strike rate of over 154 in Twenty20 Internationals. Nisam has played in the Indian Premier League for Delhi Daredevils, Kings XI Punjab, Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals. Apart from that, he has played in Vitality Blast, Bangladesh Premier League, South Africa T-20, The Hundred, Pakistan Super League, Big-Bass, Caribbean Premier League, Champions League and others. Nisam is currently playing in UAE for Ajman Bolts in the Dubai T-10 League. After this he will come to Kathmandu to play NPL. Earlier, he played in the T-10 league of Zimbabwe from the Bolts group. You are coming to Kathmandu to play Nepal Premier League, what are your expectations from NPL and Nepali cricket?

I am eager to go to a new place (country) and play cricket. I have heard a lot about the beauty of Nepal and the passion of Nepalese for cricket. So I hope to get a lot of support when I play NPL. 

As an all-rounder you have been making a big impression on world cricket. What are your plans to make it more effective in NPL? 

My aim will be the same as playing in other leagues around the world. I think I can contribute in all areas in cricket. This is my first objective.

You have been playing against the best players in the world, how will your experience benefit Janakpur Bolts? 

I am sure that the local players in our team are aware of the conditions and the opposition. But I will help Janakpur Bolts with my experience. Twenty-20 cricket is also about playing according to the situation. I will pay attention to that.

Which aspect mainly attracted you to join Janakpur Bolts?

I have been playing in other leagues around the world from the Bolts family. I want to continue that relationship with the Bolts from the NPL. So far I have had positive experiences with the Bolts family.

You are very active on social networks. Known for his sense of humor. How do you plan to connect with Janakpur Bolts and Nepali supporters?

Wherever I play, I spend time with the supporters. Supporters are the foundation of our game. A game without supporters will be very noisy. As I said before, I have heard that Nepalis are very keen and passionate about their team's game. Hopefully my performance will shed more light on this. 

Apart from cricket, what else do you plan to do in Nepal during the NPL?

Whenever I go to a new place, I always look forward to experiencing the local culture. Everything about the beauty of Nepal is clear, so I am ready to experience this thrill first.
