Ranju Darshana of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has won in Kathmandu-1. Ranju won with 15,455 votes.

Congress candidate Prabal Thapa got 6,364 votes. Similarly, Rabindra Mishra, who is also the senior vice-president of the RPP, got 3,972 votes in the third place. Similarly, Mohan Raj Regmi of the UML got 1,618 votes.

Earlier, in the 2079 election, she had become an independent candidate from Kathmandu-5 and got 600 votes. Before that, she had filed her candidacy for the post of mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City in the 2074 local elections. She was in third place with 23,439 votes.

In 2081, she was elected as the general secretary of the first general convention of the Bibeksheel Sajha Party. Recently, she was nominated as a member of the central committee through the federal leadership forum when the Bibeksheel Sajha Party and the National Independent Party (RSWP) merged.
