The National Security Council has decided to ensure that there is no shortage of any kind to conduct the House of Representatives elections in a fair, fearless, peaceful and error-free manner. 

A meeting held at Singha Durbar on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Council Chairperson and Prime Minister Sushila Karki reviewed the election security arrangements and concluded that all necessary security arrangements are in place for the elections.

The meeting decided to mobilize the relevant security agencies in a more effective and coordinated manner to maintain peace and security in the country, said Secretary to the Ministry of Defense Kedarnath Sharma.

The meeting discussed various challenges to national security and the impact that developments in the national, regional and international sectors may have on national security, as well as future strategies. Finance Minister Rameshwor Khanal, Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal, Foreign Minister Balananda Sharma, Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security Rajendra Singh Bhandari, Chief Secretary Suman Raj Aryal and Army Chief Ashok Raj Sigdel.
