Rastriya Swatantra Party President Ravi Lamichhane has announced an end to the politics of dividing the country and Madhes.

Addressing the workers during a tour of Janakpurdham temple on Wednesday, he said this. He admitted that although he had strongly raised the issue of good governance in the previous election, he had not been able to raise his voice enough on the issue of discrimination, claiming that ending discrimination and establishing good governance were the main agenda of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party.

President Lamichhane said, ‘We have tried to end the politics of dividing the country and Madhes.’ He said that even though they had talked about good governance as loudly as they had last time, they had not been able to raise the issue of discrimination as loudly, and said, ‘This time we have come with a commitment to establish good governance along with ending discrimination.’

President Lamichhane also promised that the party would move forward with programs to make Janakpurdham a tourist center.
