As the second special general convention of the Nepali Congress continues at Bhrikutimandap, President Sher Bahadur Deuba has called a meeting at his residence to resolve the dispute.

Deuba has also called General Secretaries Gagan Thapa and Bishwaprakash Sharma to the meeting called with preparations to take a final decision.

Leaders including Balkrishna Khand and Ramesh Lekhak, who are in favor of the establishment, have reportedly reached Deuba's residence in Maharajgunj. Talks held at various stages throughout the day on Tuesday were inconclusive.

Even though talks continued till late at night, the talks remained inconclusive as there was no agreement on the leadership change. Gururaj Ghimire, a leader in favor of the special general convention and participating in the talks, had said that if a miracle happens by morning, the party will unite, otherwise the leadership will be selected.
