The closed session of the Nepali Congress Special General Convention has passed the 'Nepali Congress Special Central General Convention Procedures 2082'.
The closed session began on Monday morning at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu. The remaining programs and activities of the special general convention will proceed on the basis of the procedure, said Subash Pokharel, coordinator of the publicity committee.
‘Since it is desirable for the special central general convention convened pursuant to Article 17, Clause (2) of the Nepali Congress Statute, 2017 (with amendments) to formulate a procedure to regularize and organize its proceedings, the Congress Special General Convention Procedure 2082 has been formulated and implemented by exercising the powers vested in the supreme authority pursuant to Article 5 of the statute,’ the preamble to the procedure states.
The procedure mentions the provisions related to the operation of the special central general convention, the proposals to be submitted there, the subjects of decisions and reports in the proposals, the quorum, and the provisions of the election committee.
