Industrialist and central member of the Nepali Congress, Binod Chaudhary, has urged the party's general secretaries to take the journey of transformation begun by the party to a decisive point.

Addressing the special general convention of the Nepali Congress at Bhrikutimandap, he told General Secretaries Gagan Kumar Thapa and Bishwaprakash Sharma, “Take Nepal to the stage of development that it has been waiting for for a long time.”

He termed Gagan and Bishwaprakash’s campaign as fearlessness and said that a new face should come to the party to move forward carrying the spirit of the Gen-G movement. “The Nepali Congress wants to at least emerge as a party carrying the spirit of the Gen-G movement of Nepal. This party wants to bring in with an open heart that politics is not a profession but an important platform for transformation for society,” he said, “Congress does not only transform politics, it transforms the country itself.”

Chaudhary admitted that he too had strayed from the path of the Gen-G movement 35 years ago. “We have strayed from the path in 35 years. "We have not been able to create a situation where we can bring in talented and creative people," he added.

He said that new leadership should now move forward to strengthen the country's politics and economy.
