It is common in Nepali politics for parties to have banners with the president's photo at their general conventions. However, this time, the banner will not feature the photo of party president Sher Bahadur Deuba at the special general convention of the Nepali Congress.

Deuba's photo is not placed on the gates and flexes that have been constructed recently. According to Govinda Pudasaini, coordinator of the stage management committee, all preparations related to the stage have been completed.

This time, LEDs will be used on the stage instead of banners. Pudasaini said that arrangements have been made to have five LEDs at the program venue, one LED at the place where the main banner will be placed, two around the stage and two outside the stage. Eight thousand chairs have been placed at the program venue, and arrangements have been made to allow people to easily watch the program even while standing around.

'This time, the photo of party president Sher Bahadur Deuba will not be visible on the stage,' Pudasaini said, 'However, the photos of the party's founding leaders will be placed on the stage.' Subash Pokharel, coordinator of the information and publicity committee, said that they had invited the party president at a press conference on Saturday.

 ‘We have already sent letters to the party president, acting president and all the concerned office bearers,’ Pokhre had said, ‘We also expect them to come.’ The establishment party has not taken ownership of the special general convention. 

After General Secretaries Gagan Thapa and Bishwaprakash Sharma took the lead of the special general convention, the general convention is being held in Bhrikutimanda from Sunday.
