The Congress has submitted its proportional closed list for the House of Representatives after a night-long struggle. The Congress had submitted its list to the Election Commission yesterday as the deadline for submitting the list was last night.

The final decision on the names was made by the Central Working Committee meeting late on Monday night at a cottage near the party office, Sanepa. With the same list, the head of the publicity department, Min Bishwakarma, and the chief secretary, Krishna Prasad Poudel, had gone to the commission at night to ask for the list to be corrected. The Congress has revised the list and submitted the names of 110 people.

A central member said that the list was delayed due to problems in the selection of candidates due to the tug-of-war between leaders of various groups within the Congress.
