Province Chief Sumitra Bhandari, who was on her way to Kathmandu for treatment due to illness, reached Bardibas and appointed UML's Saroj Kumar Yadav as the Chief Minister at a hotel. After that, seven parties including Congress, Maoist, Unified Socialist, LSP, Janmat and JSP from Madhesh Province have started discussions on what to do next.
Four options are being discussed in a meeting held at the Chief Minister's residence in Madhesh Bhavan.
According to sources, discussions are being held on impeachment of the Speaker, sending back the Province Chief, going to court for legal recourse and declaring a movement.
Similarly, Chief Minister Yadav has also formed a three-member cabinet immediately after taking the oath of Chief Minister from the Province Chief. One MP each from UML, RPP and Federal Socialist Party has also been sworn in as a Minister without portfolio at the same hotel in Bardibas.
