Encourage Gen-G for your children's future

During the time of King Mahendra, people close to him used to go to the National Panchayat, same thing happened during the time of Birendra, the same disease spread even after 2046, there should have been a change after the republic.

Before talking about the Zen-ji movement of 2082 (23-24 August), let us recall the old movements. The generation before us saw the 2062/63 movement. The generation before that also saw and felt the change of 2046. An even earlier generation felt the heat of the 2036 student movement.

We gen-jis grew up and enjoyed this republican system. However, the noteworthy aspect is that this is not a complete republican system. This is a system where only the 'label' of the republic is attached to the monarchy, ignoring the old system. Where is the service provided by the republic in this arrangement? No government was ready to fulfill the demands and dreams of the youth, they did not bear any responsibility. And, therefore, the youth became more and more disappointed, his anger flared up.

After the mass movement of 2062/63, a young man thought that he should stay in Nepal and do something. He also thought - what should be done? How to sharpen my 'skills'? What business? Why is there no opportunity here? However, our governments did not create opportunities in the country, instead they 'created' the environment to go abroad to earn money. The system changed, but the basic needs of the youth were not fulfilled. So there was a terrible resentment among Jen-ji and the youth. The result of that outrage was the Gen-G Rebellion.

I say - this system is a so-called republic, the 'real' republic has not yet come. On the surface, this system looks like a republic, but we did not experience 'real' change.

I am almost 24 years old. I should have experienced the change practically according to the changing conditions. Changes had to be made in government services, education, health, transportation, employment, etc. People always want change. However, only Deuba, Oli and Dahal are seen in the government and the party. Jen-ji's anger is not with them, but after not seeing any change in their governance.

Jen-G has a thousand dreams. However, the 'opportunity' here is not easy. Let's go study, need money. However, little money is not enough to study. Let's go abroad to work, get limited money, how to run the household? Even if you go to a government agency for a small job, you should not pay under the table. There is no easier way to make passports and documents than "I will leave the country, you didn't let me live and eat in my own country". After not finding any difference in the policy, anger has arisen among the youth.

We will never get to 'choose' a new person, the same Deuba, Oli and Dahal will be the prime minister. Doesn't anger come when there is no change? And, the youth was expressing this anger through social media - by creating content, creating memes. But, look, recently the government also closed social media, without thinking. Where do we go to speak when our means of speaking is closed? So we were forced to come to Gen-G Street. However, the government instead opened fire on Jen-Ji. Youth fell by bullets, our dreams fell.

After the social media was closed, we friends were in a discussion - protesting on reddit, mixing our colloquial language and coming to the streets with slogans like 'Youth Against Corruption, No More Corruption, No Not Again'. The campaign attracted all Gen-Gs, who spontaneously took to the streets.

Our movement was peaceful. But, it was like Newton's 'Third Law', there came 'Equal Action', its opposite was 'Reaction'. There was a huge human and material loss, the government collapsed. Many subjects were 'missed out' by us. Initially, this movement was a 'leaderless protest'. Since there was no 'leader', it was a problem for us to unite.

because the thinking of Zen-ji, who was protesting in Kathmandu, and who was involved in the protest in the Far West, was different. As the 'basic needs' of Gen-G of Kathmandu are different from Gen-G of Far West. The 'parameters against corruption' of Gen-G, who sat in Kathmandu and 'protested', are different.

Our issue in particular was the 'corruption' ending, which all of us Gen-G agreed upon. After the movement was successful, there was widespread confusion and rumors that the army would do a coup on September 9 or that the king would return. However, we agreed to form a civilian government without the participation of political parties. We believe that the government will address our demands.

A very 'sensitive' political situation arose after the Gen-ji uprising. I felt that we need a prime minister who understands the law, everything should be run according to the constitution. That's why we chose Sushila Karki as the Prime Minister.

The work of the government is positive. In our demands, we have prioritized the families of martyrs and injured. However, the main task of the government should be to investigate the corrupt. And, within 6 months, the 'results' of all the subjects should be released, so that the corrupt cannot stand for elections anymore. A commission of inquiry has been formed, perhaps it will certainly investigate.

The Gen-G movement now has 'far rightists', 'liberals' and 'centre leftists'. The far rightists say that this constitution is not right, federalism is not right, the system is not right, everything should be abolished, a new way should be done.

Center-leftists and liberals say that this constitution is not completely wrong, some issues are correct, but the form of government should be changed. There is also a debate going on that there will be a president and a prime minister, but they will be directly elected.

The local level should be independent. Why do you need a party at the local level? Local level is 'direct executive', it can take 'decision' directly. When there is a debate about federalism and provinces, and it seems that the provinces have not yet been able to work, the Union has kept the provinces under its own control. There is no state police, no laws have been made that are necessary for the state. Let the province work for a while.

The House of Representatives seems to be a failure now. Now there should be government elections and there should be a system where MPs cannot become ministers. After MPs become ministers, they start collecting the expenses incurred in the elections. We have asked that MPs be elected directly, but through a proportional system. Let's elect proportional MPs with representation from different communities.

parties are always walking around with a 'face'. Like Congress means Deuba, UML means Oli, Maoist means Dahal. Other parties have had the same face for years. They see problems in the youth who hold 'liberal' or 'new socialist' ideologies. However, he himself has been ruling for 20-30 years. That they had to be 'updated' according to time, otherwise they had to be left.

Let's do three main things to make the future of Nepal - the government should be responsible in education, health, and transportation. Transport is the most important link between economy, education and health. It is developing, but not enough. Now the transport-sector should be taken over by the government.

To improve education, complete free and quality education should be available up to 12th standard, 'Technical Based Education' should be mandatory. You should be able to 'identify' the interests of the students while studying in the seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth grades. Currently, the students who are studying 12th standard do not know - what subjects am I capable of? Even after 12th standard, he is seen wandering and staggering. Now after passing 12, education is needed to guide 'where you want to go'.

How is Nepal's business going? What are the government subsidies? What are the rules and regulations I have to follow? What is the government helping? Without knowing that, we are wandering. Needless to say, how terrible the employment situation is here. If it is not possible to provide employment, the government should provide an environment to work on its own!

Our health care is even worse. We consider it difficult to go to a government hospital even if we have a common cold or cough. There is a delay in government hospitals, it is difficult to get a turn, that's why. Appointments are easily available in private. It is difficult to get treatment because there is no money. The health care situation in remote areas is even worse. Isn't it the government's responsibility to make arrangements for common people to get treatment easily?

Jen-G raised the issue of nepotism. I don't see any difference from the time of King Mahendra to the current constitution. People close to the king used to go to Rashtriya Panchayat, same happened during Birendra's time. Even after 2046, the same disease spread. There should have been a change after the republic. However, the parties and leaders never changed.

He showed the old behavior by giving a new 'label'. This is the reason why Jen-G is excited about the topic of 'Nepokid'.

Now the old parties have to introspect. It must be understood that the children have shown anger because of the old mindset. It should be understood that the anger of the youth is the anger of the whole people. However, even now, the old parties are trying to explain that 'this is not the anger of the people, it is a movement funded by foreign powers'.

Now he should self-examine and say 'our leadership has failed'. The old parties are not correct, but on the way to decline.

is a 'parameter change' of necessity in every generation. All the 'parameters' should be enforced and set by the youth themselves. Accordingly, the country should move forward.

People say—Jen-ji's movement ended in two days. But no, we are in the movement - we will be from the streets to the House. Some Gen-Gs are in the house while others Gen-Gs are on the streets. Alpha will come tomorrow. We have to create an environment for the alpha generation as well.

Once BP Koirala, KP Oli, Pushpa Kamal Dahal were also young. They are the ones who led the movement. But why couldn't he turn to the young man now? Is it always the grandfather running the country? If the children want a better future, they should encourage Gen-Ji. I am optimistic after the Gen-Ji movement. After 6 months, elections are taking place. If we are looking for a better future, we should also know whether the 'candidate' we choose is right or not.

So far, we have not thought of creating Jen-G's own party. However, we will build an 'alliance' of Gen-G and expand the organization. We have launched 'Digitally Gen-G Movement Alliance'. This alliance of liberals and center leftists have put forward the issues of constitution, federalism, sovereignty, inclusiveness, secularism as 'non-negotiable' issues.

The era of the young generation began after the Gen-J rebellion. However, Jen-ji will also grow old later. As Generation Y has aged before, all generations will age. However, now the youth should be promoted as 'real representatives'. After the Gen-J Rebellion, the Really Young Era began.
