While giving statements to the inquiry commission formed to investigate the incidents of 23 and 24 Bhadra, the then Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak and leaders of the major parties have refused to take responsibility for the incident.
During separate statements taken by the commission with various office bearers and leaders, they have claimed that they were not directly involved in the incident.
The then Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has given a statement to the commission that the incident of 23 Bhadra was a planned incitement that led to the loss of lives of the youth. He has also claimed that the Parliament building was attacked in a planned manner and then the shooting took place. He has claimed that the Home Ministry, as a departmental ministry, is not responsible for giving orders to the police against the protesters.
The then President of the Nepali Congress, Sher Bahadur Deuba, has also argued in his statement that the information received on social media about the money found in his house during the protests is not true. The report also mentions that the videos made public about the money found in his house were created by AI.
Former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said during his statement that the incident of Bhadra 24 was not just an outrage against the government but a planned attempt to attack the system itself. He has claimed that the false propaganda about the discovery of illegal money in his daughter Ganga Dahal's house was made, and has claimed that although it was seen as a protest by the youth on Bhadra 23, wrong elements used it on Bhadra 24.
Similarly, Congress leader and then Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has stated that he saw the fact of infiltration from the expressions of Gen-G leaders. He argued that the attacks on the historical and invaluable structures of the state cannot be limited to the result of mere impulse, and stated that information about the growing dissatisfaction and anger on social media and other media was received through security agencies even before the incident began.
