After the death of Bimal Bhatta, a class 12 student who was injured in the Gen-G movement in Baneshwor on Bhadra 23, the family has stated that both the security forces and the hospital were at fault. According to the statement given to the Commission of Inquiry by Bimal's brother Anil Bhatta, Bimal had spontaneously participated in the movement with his friends. He said that he was shot during the demonstration at Baneshwor Chowk on Bhadra 23. Anil said that he had last spoken to Bimal on Viber on Bhadra 23 before the incident and that he did not have clear information about what happened after that. He said that it is not even clear who took him to the hospital after he was shot at Baneshwor Chowk on that day. He said that he came to know about it after Bimal was declared dead at the Civil Hospital at 12:45 pm on the same day. Whose dream was shattered on the road

Bimal's family has expressed suspicion that there was negligence during the treatment. They also stated that the security personnel shot him in the chest in an aggressive and oppressive manner without warning.

The family has received a relief of 1.5 million rupees from the Government of Nepal. However, it is mentioned that they demand that the culprits be taken to the fullest extent of the law. However, his family has stated in the report that the government has not done anything in favor of the victim so far.

His family has demanded that everyone at the policy level, from the then Prime Minister, Home Minister, Chief District Officer to the high leadership of the police and field commander, be held responsible and the scope of the investigation should be broadened.

Stating that the incident of Bhadra 23-24 has shown that the accountability of the state has been weak, they have expressed their desire to prevent corruption and unrest in the future. Bimal's family has expressed their hope that such a death will not happen in the future as citizens raise their voices against corruption. They have also mentioned that good governance, corruption control, and responsible leadership are necessary to prevent such incidents from happening again.
